Memorial benches at our local peace park.

At the nearby National Memorial Arboretum this Polish Armed Forces Memorial may also be used as a bench. It pays tribute to the Polish Forces personnel who gave their lives in the 2nd World War 1939-1945. Breaking the Enigma Code – A plaque on the memorial describes how Polish mathematicians broke the enigma code used by the Germans.

Oh, what a beautiful peace garden.

Yes Sue we are very fortunate. The gardens and adjoining playing fields have been a blessing during lockdown as local residents have made good use of them for their daily exercise.

A fine memorial to lovely people who were let down many times throughout their history.

Agreed. That is just part of the memorial. I must blog more about it and the National Memorial Arboretum in general some time.

I have visited and found it very moving, particularly because I knew some of those listed there!
