A couple of weeks ago we spent a few days on the Yorkshire coast. After a morning in Whitby we travelled north to Runswick Bay. We had not been there before and what a charming coastal village it is. Many of the properties can only be accessed by steep and narrow paths. I watched two delivery men negotiating the steps to deliver a fridge freezer – not their favourite drop on a very hot afternoon.

What a great idea to have a two minute beach clean board, complete with litter pickers and bags for rubbish. We were told it is a very good beach but the tide was in, making access quite difficult.
