On your marks, get set…. go, but it certainly won’t be to this town’s antipodean namesake. As for the what3words phrase, it ‘fittingly’ includes the word ‘cook’, because in 1808 this was the birthplace of travel agent Thomas Cook.

Where am I?

I always associate Thomas Cook with Leicestershire, but I suppose it’s just down the road from here, albeit in a different county. Have to say I prefer this little town to its Antipodean namesake, which left me cold (even though it was hot!)

I have only been to this little town and not the other one although it’s a place I always thought I would like to visit. I believe Thomas Cook first excursion was by train from Leicester to Loughborough.
