We have just experienced several days of high winds and heavy rainfall (thank you Storm Henk) and for a few hours yesterday Newton Solney was virtually cut off from the rest of the world due to flooded roads. Today started off sunny and bright so a much needed walk was on our agenda. However the fields and footpaths are saturated and very muddy so we kept to the roads and lanes. Even there the water was still flowing onto the road from the adjacent fields.
